Solving the trust crisis in the digital age.

We live in a digital ecosystem that often rewards sensationalism over substance. In an era of content overload, trust has become the scarcest resource: while misinformation creators profit from clickbait, factual and high-quality authors are penalized. The core issue lies in the lack of integrated tools for real-time verification of author reputation or source provenance. With traditional fact-checking agencies unable to keep pace with the internet’s speed and volume, our mission was clear: break the cycle of misinformation and restore digital credibility.

Research & Development

Web3 in service of digital integrity — tackling a challenge of global scale. We conducted deep strategic research, mapping the limitations of existing platforms. The result is a decentralised, agnostic, and cross-platform ecosystem, built to operate seamlessly across any web interface.

The Proof of Concept (PoC) took shape as a Chrome browser extension, underpinned by a high-performance architecture built around five core pillars: Web Extension, Integration Layer, Smart Contracts, Website, and the Solana Blockchain. The choice of Solana was deliberate — ensuring data immutability with massive processing capacity and near-zero transaction costs. Orchestrating this infrastructure, the Integration Layer leverages advanced frameworks (including Solana Web3 JS and Anchor) to establish a fluid, secure bridge between the user and the Smart Contracts governing the network.

Results

FactConnect positions itself as the first pluggable reputation solution designed to fight misinformation through collective intelligence. The system transforms how people consume information across three innovative dimensions:

  • Ubiquity and Integration: A review layer that plugs into any major content platform — from Facebook and X (Twitter) to YouTube — validating everything from news articles to blog posts.
  • Identification and Transparency: Through the Web Extension, users generate and access a unique “ContentID” per page, automatically converted into a “ContentBadge.” This interactive widget replaces technical code with an instant visual rating, segmented into three levels: Accurate, Inconsistent, or Misleading.
  • The Economy of Truth: The project introduces a pioneering business model built around the TrustToken (TTK) — a rewards system designed to incentivise ethical advertising dynamics and fairly recognise the authors and reviewers who contribute to the integrity of the ecosystem.

In an ocean of noise and uncertainty, FactConnect proves that technology, when guided by collective integrity, becomes the beacon that restores clarity. Because in the fight against misinformation, truth isn’t just a destination — it’s a path we build, and validate, together.
